The SecDev Group

The SecDev Group is a Canadian company with a global mission to engage with complex problems of insecurity and violence. Our founders are practitioners and scholars with decades of on the ground experience in Latin America, Asia, the Commonwealth of Independent States, Central Asia and the Middle East.

We leverage expertise in security and development with a global network of partners. We apply a multi-disciplinary, evidence-based approach combined with cutting-edge analytical tools and techniques. We engage in for-profit consulting and not-for-profit research. Our clients include the United Nations Development Program, OECD, US DOD, Clingendael Institute and the International Development Research Center. We benefit from a network of partnerships that includes leading university research centers and think tanks in North America, Europe, and Russia. We actively support research at the Citizen Lab, Munk Centre Center for International studies and work in partnership with nongovernmental organizations.

The Secdev Group consists of two divisions:

SecDev Operations conducts field-based investigations and analysis in regions affected by insecurity.

SecDev.cyber focuses on the emerging domain of cyberspace providing state-of-the-art analytical and investigation capabilities.

The is partnered with Palantir technologies and develops advanced cyber investigation tools for the Palantir intelligence infrastructure, including the Cloakroom covert cyber investigation suite.

The SecDev Group is headquartered in Ottawa, Canada, with a global network of over 45 partner institutions.
